When Scott was hospitalized, he was told that skilled care would be his best option for recovery. Scott knew exactly where he wanted to go – Harmony Davenport! Scott’s mother was a previous resident at Harmony, and he visited her every Thursday for lunch. The staff treated her well, and he always knew she was well taken care of. When it came time for him to need
additional care, there was no other choice than Harmony Davenport being the place for him. ‘All the staff treat me so great. Sherrie is a great nurse, and Stephanie is the best social worker. The housekeeping staff ensures the facility is clean. During my employment days, I worked in housekeeping, so I have high expectations for cleanliness. If you want a place that treats you like family, Harmony Davenport is the place for you.’

This is my second stay at Harmony Davenport. The therapy team is excellent. They always make me smile and encourage me to work hard towards my recovery. The entire staff is kind, courteous and attentive. I am getting ready to go home to continue my recovery, but I would not hesitate to return to Harmony Davenport if I need to. I highly recommend them!

I chose Harmony Davenport primarily because it’s a VA facility, which was important to me. Before coming here, I had a few incidents where I kept falling due to multiple sclerosis, which has weakened me over time.
In just the short time I’ve been at Harmony Davenport – I’ve already started receiving therapy twice a day. It’s still early, but I feel that the therapy department is really pushing me, which I believe is good for my progress. Today marked my second day of therapy, and while it’s too early to talk about specific goals or improvements, I’m hopeful about our direction.
So far, my time at the facility has mostly been about settling in and organizing my room. It’s been just a few days, so I’m still trying to get situated and familiar with the new environment.
While it’s still very early in my stay at Harmony Davenport, I appreciate the therapy efforts and the environment here. I’m looking forward to seeing how the therapy will help me, and I’d recommend it because it is part of the VA system

I was admitted to Harmony Davenport last July for skilled therapy before transitioning to long-term care. Looking back, I truly appreciate the therapy department for helping me regain my strength—more than I had before my admission. When I first arrived, I needed moderate assistance to walk just 10 feet, but now, thanks to their dedication, I can walk 150 feet with only supervision. The progress in my daily activities has been just as remarkable—I went from needing total assistance to requiring only setup help.
The staff at Harmony have been nothing short of wonderful. The nurses and CNAs are attentive, listening to my needs and making me feel comfortable every step of the way. The activities team is supportive and always invites me to events, even though I don’t attend many—I still appreciate their thoughtfulness.
Admitting I needed more help than I thought was a hard realization, but the staff reassured me that everything would be okay. The business office manager guided me through the Medicaid process, and the social worker helped me get the items I needed. Their support means so much to me.
This was my first Christmas spent in a facility instead of at home, and yet, I felt surrounded by love and care. The kindness I’ve experienced here has made all the difference. Overall, my experience at Harmony Davenport has been truly great, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home.

I was transferred to Harmony Davenport after a fall at home and it was truly a blessing. The therapy department at Harmony Davenport was excellent. They worked with me one-on-one, and I believe that extra attention really helped me get stronger and closer to where I needed to be. I feel much more capable now and ready to return to my apartment.
I also want to thank the nursing staff and management for being so kind, courteous, and attentive. It made me feel good when the 1st and 2nd shift CNAs and nurses would stop by just to see how my day was going. I also appreciated that they found me a recliner chair to sit in—it was so much more comfortable than being in bed all the time.
The remodel looks great, and even though I won’t be here to see the whole process, it’s clear that Harmony Davenport will feel like a new home if I ever need to come back. Thank you, Harmony Davenport!

I was admitted to Harmony Davenport in March, and it has truly become my home. I love it here. I’ve made several friends throughout the building, and I enjoy going outside with them. We even went to the zoo the other day with the Activity Department, and it was a great outing.
The first-shift staff is so attentive and kind—they know my daily routine without me having to explain everything. I really appreciate how hard they work and how well they take care of all the residents’ needs. Since I arrived, my health has improved so much—my hair is growing back, my skin is glowing, and I feel 100% better than I did when I first got here.
When issues come up, management is quick to resolve them, which I appreciate. I’m also really excited about the renovations they’re doing on the first floor. It’s looking wonderful, and I can’t wait to see the finished product. This place was already home, and now it’s going to be even better.
